Information We Collect
- Account data: username and hashed password (we never store plaintext passwords).
- Messages: text, files, and location messages encrypted in transit and stored to deliver them to recipients.
- Location data: collected only at the moment you tap Share Location in a conversation, and sent only to the person you share it with. The location is approximate, and the App does not track your location in the background: it holds no background-location permission and records no location history.
- Camera and photos/videos: to take or attach photos and videos to messages, set a profile picture, and add photos to marketplace listings. Files you choose to share are uploaded to our servers to deliver them to recipients; the camera itself is only used when you actively take a photo or video.
- Microphone: to record a voice message you choose to send in a chat.
- Contacts: read locally on your device, only to find people already using the App so you can start a conversation without typing their username. Contacts you do not message are never uploaded to our servers.
- Device data: type and OS version for multi-device session management.
- Push notification token: to deliver message notifications in the background.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the App.
- To deliver messages and game events.
- To send push notifications.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers (cloud hosting, push notifications) under strict data processing agreements, and with law enforcement when required by law.
Data Retention
Messages are retained to ensure delivery and sync. You can delete messages at any time. If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where required by law.
Security
We use TLS for all data in transit, bcrypt for password hashing, and JWT-based session management. No system is 100% secure — use a strong, unique password.
Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to: access your data; request correction or deletion; object to certain processing; data portability. Contact happieapartment@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app, or by request. Step-by-step instructions are on the account deletion page.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App.
